Chocolate Sponge Cake Recipe I

Ingredients:

-4 L egg whites

-1/2 tsp salt

-100g Caster sugar

-125 g Olive margarine

-4 L egg yolks

-1 tsp vanilla essence

-200 g Self raising flour ,

-1/2 tsp baking pwd and baking soda – sifted

-1 C water with mango ( essence) fruit drink base

-3 tbsp chocolate syrup

Filling:

-2 tbsp cream cheese

-1 tbsp mango ( essence ) fruit drink base

Ganache:

-150 g baking chocolate

-3/4 C heavy cream

-Chocolate shavings

-Dragees Gold

Directions:

Pre heat the oven at 200 deg C .

Grease and line 2 round pans .

Beat egg whites with salt until stiff peak form and set aside .

Beat the sugar and margarine until creamy .

Now add the yolks and essence until it mix well .

Add half of the dry ing along with half of the juice .

Beat 30 secs .

Add the rest of the dry ing and juice .

Mix the syrup in .

Fold in the egg whites .

Pour in the tin and bake for 20 mins .

Mix the filling and soread on top of a layer .

Keep the other layer on top .

Microwave the cream and add the chocolate .

Beat it after 5 mins and pour over the cake evenly .

Now decorate and chill until ready to serve .
