Pantespani Sponge Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

-6 eggs

-1 cup of self raising flour

-1 cup of sugar

-2 vanillas (about a spoonful)

-1 spoonful of lemon juice
(If we want a chocolate base cake reduce flour and add cocoa).

Directions:

Whip eggs whites with lemon juice until eggs are stiff.

In a separate bowl beat yolks with sugar and vanillas until white.

Add eggs whites to mixture slowly folding in mixture with spoon. This way the air will remain in eggs.

Preheat oven. Butter and flour a round 28 cm., spring tin and bake for about 45΄ at 180ο.
