Another Variety of sponge cake Recipe: Buttermilk Spice Cake Recipe

For those who love buttermilk spice flavor, this is a special for you.

Here is the ingredient:

- 2 1/2 cups    All-purpose flour
- 1 cup        Granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup        Brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp        Baking powder
- 1 tsp        Soda
- 1 tsp        Salt
- 3/4 tsp        Cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp        Allspice
- 1/2 tsp        Cloves
- 1/2 tsp        nutmeg
- 1 1/3 cups    Buttermilk
- 1/2 cup        Shortening
- 3        Eggs

You must preheat the oven, grease and flour 2 round layer pans,
preheat the oven to 350 degree, bake for around 45 minutes.
Pan Type: 10″ layer pan or 8 – 9 inch depends availability.

Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pans. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.

As always, I prefer to serve the cake warm. It gives the aromatic smell when serves warm.

Your Basic Sponge Cake Recipe:

Ingreadient:

- 6    Eggs
- 1 cup    Sugar
- 1 Tb    Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp    Grated lemon
- 1 cup    Flour

Oven must be preheated:

Temp : 325°        Time to Bake: 15  Min.
Type of Pan Recommended:  10″ x15″x1″ jelly roll pan or whatever suit you.

First thing to do is separate the whites from yolks of the eggs, beat the yolks until thick and turns into lemon colored, add the sugar in small quantity until your satisfaction. Next is to  add lemon juice and rind.

Cut than fold in the sifted flour and cut and fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in an ungreased pan in a very moderate oven.
Bake until the cake is puffed, has lost its shine, and springs back when gently pressed.

Depends on your liking, you can add cholcolate, honey, fruit on it. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes
after its comes out from the oven. It is better to serve it warm (not hot) to get the aromatic
smell of the cake. You’ll love it.

Best of the Best Sponge Cake Recipe

Here is what you need:

4    Eggs, separated
1 cup    Sugar
4 Tb    Cold water
1 cup    Sifted cake flour
1 tsp    Baking powder

You also need:
Whipped cream
Sliced strawberries

Here is the detail for oven temperature and time to bake:
Oven Temperature  325°        Baking Time to bake: 30 Min.
There is no need for big pan. A small angel food pan.
Preheat oven is a must and grease a small tube pan.

Start by beat egg yolks and sugar together until the mixture becomes very light. Then add water. Sift together flour and baking powder. You than add the whole mixture to butter. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter. Pour butter into prepared pan.

Bake according to temp above. Wait until it cools down completely and invert onto cake platter. Prepare whipped cream and strawberries. To serve, slice cake in half and fill with half the whipped cream. Top with remaining whipped cream, blueberry,  strawberries, banana, pineapple or any fruit you like. Try it.
